The finish quality of a coated product always starts with the correct surface preparation. We will provide you with the correct surface preparation regardless of what type of metal you want to have powder coated.
Sandblasting can be used as a cost effective way to prepare uncoated aluminum, steel, and lightly painted parts. Previous coatings, oxidation and imperfections require a burn off, chemical stripping or sanding. When dealing with chrome plated parts a brush blasting can be used to increase the bond and remove any loose plating. Once your parts are blasted they are coated within 12 hours to insure no oxidation occurs before the parts are finished.
For parts that will see constant exposure to salt spray, sunlight and the outdoor elements, we can provide you with an added layer of primer (base coat) or clear coat (top coat). This two stage process will provide an extra level of adhesion as well as improved resistance to oxidation.
